About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join West Northamptonshire Council and help us deliver major housing schemes for our residents. The role will sit within the Councils regeneration service working to deliver schemes that bring positive change within West Northants through the delivery of major projects across the authority area.

West Northants Council is continuing its journey since being formed in 2021 and this is a great time to join a passionate and skilled team working to meet the needs of our communities.

The role of the Principal Regeneration Officer (Housing Delivery) will lead on projects from inception through to completion including feasibilities, , scheme development, development appraisals and construction management of major housing developments. This is a high-profile role and requires good management skills to ensure the effective delivery of key sites.

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Head of Major Projects and Regeneration, the Principal Regeneration Officer (Housing Delivery) will oversee and deliver complex capital projects including working on a range of housing schemes as allocated by the Head of Major Projects and Regeneration, in consultation with the council’s Housing Strategy Team. The role will include all aspects of Project Management and arranging funding agreements, ensuring the timely delivery of the WNC’s directly delivered capital projects and procuring development partners/investors for the development sites whilst working with all internal and external stakeholders.

About you

You'll be a suitably skilled and experienced housing professional, ensuring appropriate reporting and best practice are followed, and work closely with colleagues across the organisation, as well as working with councillors.

Your skills will enable you to lead on the delivery of current development sites and also assess future sites as part of wider regeneration sites or as stand alone schemes.
