About the role

The Family Hub programme is designed to assist children and young people (aged 0–19, or up to 25 for those with SEND) and their families by providing a range of support and early help services. This initiative aims to improve outcomes for children while reducing the need for statutory services. It operates through an integrated Family Hub model, delivering services across Local Area Partnership areas.

This is an exciting time to join our Family Hub team. We’re a relatively new local authority, created in April 2021 and we are at the beginning of our Family Hub journey. We have one Family Hub open with more due to open imminently.  There is still plenty of opportunity to develop the service and shape our offer to families so we can provide the best possible service to children, young people and their families across West Northamptonshire Council

What will you be doing?

We are seeking a dedicated and organised individual to join our Family Hub team, ensuring the smooth operation of our services and providing vital support to families and children.

You will be working with colleagues in the Family Hub team, as part of the Strong Start service, supporting families through a programme of universal activities and support. You will support the team to develop and plan a timetable of engaging activities which include evidence-based information.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records through data entry and preserving confidentiality at all times. You will offer 1:1 support to families on a range of universal health and wellbeing topics. As well as delivering a range of face-to-face sessions with families who are pregnant or have children up to 5 years of age.

We are recruiting to two Early Years Worker posts. A 30 hour a week post based in the Daventry Family Hub team and a 37 hour post based in Northampton Family Hub team.
