About the role

Cambridgeshire County Council is looking for two Finance Assistants. We have one permanent position available and one position available on a 12 month Fixed Term basis.

What will you be doing?

You will provide effective and accurate payment of c£33 million of Childrens’ Commissioning transactions, ensuring that Providers are accurately paid and agencies invoiced. You will assist with the monitoring of budgets in accordance with Council financial processes, systems and instructions and complete regular integrity checks to ensure that all payments made are correct.

About you

  • You will have previous finance work experience.
  • You will have previously worked with finance systems and and kept accurate financial records. Knowledge of payment systems ERP and CONTROCC will be an advantage.
  • You will bring good IT skills to the role including Microsoft Excel, sufficient for accurate data inputting and effective record management.
  • You will have good interpersonal and customer care skills and the ability to proactively deal with and resolve provider queries regarding payments.
  • You will have the ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues, other teams, and partners.
