About the role

Are you looking for a new challenge?

The Licensing Administration Team are looking for a proactive and organised individual to join us as a Licensing Administration Service Support Officer. In this important role, you will provide administrative and operational support for the delivery of licensing services including alcohol and entertainment licence applications and consultations, street trading, animal welfare, charitable collections and cosmetic procedures applications processing.

Candidates who are shortlisted for interview will be required to attend an interview and complete a short task.

The position will be a hybrid of office and remote working.

What will you be doing?

The Licensing Administration Services Support Officer works within regulatory frameworks to provide timely and accurate advice and guidance to applicants, licence holders and to the wider public. You'll have an eye for detail and the ability to understand and apply the regulatory frameworks in which the team operates. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, you'll also process applications and input supporting information on the team's licensing database (Uniform). Working with colleagues across the wider licensing and environmental health teams, you'll also liaise with statutory authorities, town and parish councils and other stakeholders involved in licensing to deliver high-quality services which impact on our local communities.

Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills and be detailed orientated and comfortable working within a regulatory framework of rules and procedures.  You'll be able to evidence you have worked as an effective team member and can provide excellent customer service.
