About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Children in Care Service based in the Northampton area.  We are looking to recruit a Family Support Worker within the Separated Children and No Recourse to Public Funds to be part a team building meaningful relationships with children and their families helping them grow, prosper and achieve.

What will you be doing?

The primary focus of work will be with children and families who are subject to no recourse to public funds and from time to time you will be required to undertake some work with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children in care.  You will need to be self-motivated and have the ability and skills to provide key pieces of direct work to children and families and to work with multi agency colleagues. The role will also involve assessment-based work and a good level of recording skills. 

Your appointment to this role will be dependant on a DBS Disclosure

About you

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, highly motivated, has the ability to work both independently and in a team, and have experience of working directly with families and children. The role will be based in Northampton, but staff will be required to move effectively across the county and beyond if required. 

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to have a full UK Drivers Licence
