An exciting opportunity to join the Learning and Development team has arisen to support with our growing programme of learning and development activities across all teams in North Northamptonshire Council.  

We have portfolio of face-to-face and online courses and resources, covering a range of topics supporting professional and personal needs to help our employees and the organisation to grow.  

The L&D team supports the delivery of training within Adults Social Care, Children's, Leadership and Management, Digital Skills Development and Apprenticeships.  We are looking for four full time individuals who are experienced in any of these disciplines.

What will you be doing?

You will successfully design and implement interactive, challenging and stimulating learning content, utilising appropriate technologies. 

You will be contributing and supporting the development and delivery of learning and development programmes.  

You will be delivering to employees from the wide range of roles within North Northamptonshire Council including Adults Social Care, Housing, Children's  to meet customer requirements.

You’ll be delivering and evaluating face to face and online learning interventions, including the development of course materials, user guides and exercises to aid learning.

About you

You will have;

  • Excellent communication skills and be able to build a strong rapport with our learners
  • Confidence in face to face training delivery
  • A self-starter who is willing to get stuck in and be proactive and can think creatively
  • Good working knowledge of managing change and be positive to new ideas and problem solving
  • Ability and experience of the full learning cycle as well as supporting learners individually
  • Understand what is needed to manage projects from inception to delivery
  • Working with team managers and delivering on projects associated within adult social work and/or adult social care
  • The ability to ensure a quality service is delivered to learners, that NNC  policies and values are complied with and reporting deadlines are met.
