Use your admin expertise to support a service that transforms lives
Northamptonshire Children’s Trust Voluntary Adoption Agency is looking for a motivated and positive individual to join our dynamic, county-wide Adoption Team. This team plays a vital role in supporting adoptive families through Recruitment, Assessment, and Family Finding services. Working in a hybrid model, you’ll be based partly at One Angel Square in Northampton (minimum three days per week) and partly from home. This is a varied, challenging and rewarding role that offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.

What will you be doing?
In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for prospective adopters, responding to telephone and email enquiries with warmth, empathy, and professionalism. You’ll provide clear, supportive information that helps guide them through the assessment process.
You’ll also support the team with a range of administrative tasks, including managing spreadsheets, coordinating events, and using systems to organise payments. Your ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and communicate effectively with colleagues, social workers, and external agencies will be key to your success.

About you
You’re a confident, approachable, and energetic team player who thrives in a busy environment.
You have excellent communication skills and a natural ability to build positive relationships.
Highly organised, with strong IT and numeracy skills, you’re comfortable working independently to meet deadlines.
You’ll bring previous experience of working in a team, along with the flexibility and initiative needed to manage competing priorities. You’re quick to learn, proactive, and always ready to contribute to a supportive and inclusive team culture.
