We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic and inspiring people to join our team. You will need to be prepared to learn new skills, working both independently and with colleagues in the Sensory Support Team, as well as mainstream school staff. You will be part of the Senior Management Team within Sensory Support and unless you already hold the mandatory qualification for working with Vision Impaired children/young people you will need to be prepared to undertake a two year part time course (all fees paid).

As part of the interview process you will be asked to deliver a 20 minute session on developing a new strategy based on data to be provided two weeks prior to the interview.

What will you be doing?

Your new role will include:

  • Providing line management
  • Quality assuring the work of the team
  • Oversee caseload allocations
  • Ensure effective deployment of specialist sensory staff in Cambridgeshire
  • Hold a 4 day caseload which will include:
    • Delivering training to schools
    • Working closely with VI children/young people
    • Learning & supporting Braille delivery
    • Supporting bespoke interventions
    • Developing a skillset that allows you to test VI specific technology
    • Being part of a team that is continually developing new strategies to better the outcomes for children/young people who are VI
