About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in North Northamptonshire’s Adult Safeguarding Team for a Principal Social Worker to join our supportive team.

There is an expectation for you to be in the office one day a week.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for an exceptional candidate with a social work qualification and substantial experience and knowledge of safeguarding practice in a role with excellent opportunities for continuous professional development including working with the Northamptonshire Adult Safeguarding Board and supporting with the Person in a Position of Trust Process.

The post holder will be required to have an overview of the quality of safeguarding practice through evidence-based practice reviews and audits, recommending methods for improving practice quality.  

About you

You will have a sound knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks and an ability to demonstrate a commitment to the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal whilst discharging your statutory duties.

You will be an excellent team player, confident, assertive, and able to work collaboratively with all stakeholders, with an ability to think flexibly and creatively in a solution focused and person-centred way.

You will require a social work qualification and proven experience in working within adult safeguarding.
