About the role

We are continuing the growth of our new legal service with the addition of a lawyer/senior paralegal team member to sit within the Corporate area, specifically in the litigation team which deals with both civil and criminal matters.

What will you be doing?

If you have experience in the field of litigation, a passion for delivering excellent legal services and want to help shape and deliver an exemplar local authority legal service, we want to hear from you.

Your duties will involve:

• Assisting Senior Lawyers, the Principal Lawyer and the Head of Legal in all litigation related case work
• Reviewing and preparing prosecution cases for submission to the Magistrates Court
• Legal research
• Advising clients on litigation matters
• Assisting in the training and supervision of Legal Assistants as may be required
• Assisting with housing possession claims
• Preparing trial bundles
