About the role

Northamptonshire’s new Children’s Trust is firmly focused on creating the Quality Assurance Service we want for our future. Our vision is to create a strong, sustainable, challenging and supporting service which will drive up standards of practice and fully implement Signs of Safety as our practice model

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Social Worker to join Northamptonshire Children’s Trust as a Designated Officer. You will ensure that safeguarding allegations against those who work with children and young people are managed effectively and fully considered.

Within the wider children’s partnership, the Trust and our partners are committed to respond to all challenges faced and we are determined to deliver long-term change at pace, with determination and focus. If you feel you have the skills and drive to contribute to this, please get in touch – in the first instance, please call Sean Carter (07740 576502)

What will you be doing?

Working within a multi-agency context you will use your extensive experience of children’s Social Work and safeguarding to provide advice, guidance, support and challenge to organisations who work with children when one of their employees and / or volunteers faces an allegation and, in doing so, you will be helping to ensure children, young people and families in Northamptonshire are protected.

About us

Northamptonshire Children’s Trust was established in November 2020 to deliver Children’s Services to the newly established North and West Northants County Councils. The Trust is wholly owned and funded but operationally independent from the Councils; this provides the organisation with unique opportunities to explore new ways of working and to be more agile and adaptable in its approach to service delivery. We are developing a culture that allows the very highest quality of professional practice to flourish and evolve, delivering at the cutting edge of new innovation.
