About the role

Southfields Care home provides exceptional levels of support to adults with Dementia, Physical disabilities or /and Sensory impairments.

Situated in a residential suburb in Northampton, offering a wonderful living environment in which our residents can enjoy an enhanced quality of life.

Our team of 40 provide the highest level of care to 33 residents. 

Our care home evoke a home from home atmosphere in which our residents can feel comfortable, content and very well cared for.

What will you be doing?

Ensuring every resident feels seen, safe and cared for. 

  • Build relationships with their families or GP to learn what will make their stay feel more supported, comfortable and stimulated.  
  • Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties.
  • Occasionally providing manual handling support, if the resident requires assistance. 
  • At times apply cream and change dressings. 
  • Have input in organizing/assisting onsite social activities to help the residents feel engaged and social, to include celebrating milestone/birthdays etc. 

35 hours per week: Week 1, 7.45am - 2.45pm - Week 2, 2.45pm - 9.45pm with alternate weekends. 

About you

As we offer full hands-on training with relevant certifications, you don't have to have experience. BUT you do need to have the want and will to make individuals feel seen and cared for.

At minimum we offer 2.5 weeks induction training and a further 2-4 weeks "Buddy scheme" too. We will settle you in, gradually.

A DBS check will take place, at WNC cost.
