About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cambridgeshire County Council’s Leaving Care Service based in Ely, and we are seeking to recruit Team Managers to join us to support personal advisers within our three leaving care teams.
  
We are looking for candidates with strong leadership skills and a passion for supporting care experienced young adults aged 17-25. 

You will be able to demonstrate that you can think creatively to deliver targeted support and project work underpinned by an aspirational attitude for young people. You will have a significant level of knowledge and experience in children's social care and will have a good understanding of the challenges facing young people leaving our care, including separated migrant children. You will have proven experience of supervising staff. This role will include work allocation, performance monitoring, supporting your staff, and the training and development of your team. 
  
You will have relevant experience working in Children’s Social Care and be familiar with the legal framework, statutory requirements and guidance which supports care experienced young people.

 As the Team Manager you will play an important role in delivering a professional and compassionate service ensuring that our young adults are provided with the opportunities to achieve the best possible outcomes.

About you

You must:

  • Be a qualified Social Worker with a Social Work England registration
  • Have the ability to work from a variety of locations and travel countywide independently
