About the role

The role is a Virtual School Coordinator.

Who we are and the role:

The Virtual School is a team of experienced teachers and dedicated educational professionals. We promote and support the educational attainment and progress of Northamptonshire's children in care and children previously in care.

The successful Virtual School Coordinator will be working within a small team inside the Virtual School called the VS Enablers.

This is an important role within the Virtual School, providing high-quality administrative support and acting as a key point of contact for professionals, schools, carers and other stakeholders seeking advice and support. The postholder will be responsible for maintaining and managing the flow of information into the Virtual School, ensuring that data is accurate, up to date and available to support effective decision-making, statutory processes and performance reporting. The role plays a vital part in supporting the day-to-day operation of the Virtual School and ensuring that children and young people receive timely and effective educational support.

The successful candidate will take a lead role in maintaining and developing the systems that underpin the work of the Virtual School, including the electronic Personal Education Plan (ePEP) system, attendance and suspension monitoring processes, and the administration and tracking of Pupil Premium Plus funding. The role also involves the effective use of Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Power BI and associated reporting systems, to support data analysis, performance monitoring and service improvement. Working closely with the Virtual School Senior Co-ordinator and Performance Analyst, the postholder will contribute to the development of reports and processes.

Where you will be working:

The VS Enablers’ working pattern in the week includes working from home and some days working from our office at ONE Angel Square, Northampton. The successful Virtual School Coordinator would work the same pattern as the other VS Enablers.
